Finished painting and assembling my Khador warcaster Sorscha. She is a woman with a heart of ice, able to reach out with the arcane and flash freeze enemies. The base is an ice crater, as her specialty in battle is freezing every enemy in a 9 inch diametre icy sphere around her. Her weapon Frostfang is also supposed to be an ice-enchanted weapon and will freeze her target on a critical hit. Because of all this ice she found herself waking up beside Santa one morning and that’s how she got her Santa cloak (I made up the last part). I actually finished painting her a few days ago, but the base itself took a couple of days (waiting for epoxy to dry took a day, then priming it and painting it), so I started painting my next model the Khador Widowmaker Sniper while waiting for the base to be ready.

Ironclad

My brother’s Cygnar Ironclad painted and assembled. He opted for a custom colour scheme for his army than the official blue/gold scheme. The rough turf and aquarium pebbles on the base make for an interesting wildness-like look. One more ’jack closer to our first game!

Destroya

Finished painting and assembly of the Khador Destroyer. Used some putty to add some height gradation on the base and put two snow-covered rocks there for looks. The blending and highlighting improved a little bit from the Juggernaut (primarily because of the new darker red paint “Skorn Red” that added one extra layer of shade). Next up: Kommander Sorscha Kratikoff!

Juggy

My first painted miniature, the Khador warjack Juggernaut, is finally assembled and pinned to the base (see picture, Andira Runehand for scale). After weeks of unsuccessful trips to game stores looking for 0.85mm drill bits so I could pin and assemble the painted parts, I finally broke down and bought the GF9 drill bits pack. Painting of my next warjack, the Destroyer, is already well underway.
